Children's Choir
Why Sing?
Music is a form of self-expression. With distinct lyrics and/or melodies, artists can communicate their emotions to an audience. This way of storytelling transcends language barriers and has the ability to touch every listener.
“Music is the universal language of mankind”
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
What We Do
Light and Salt Academy brings refugees of different nationalities into a single choir. Our aim is to give hope to the community through songs and their stories. Every Saturday, children practice two hours to rehearse for upcoming concerts. With grade levels ranging from Kindergarten to 7th grade, the choir is organized by age and voice. The older members split into sections and harmonize while the younger members sing in unison. For more information about our performances, check out the Events page.
